Who we are
Uxbridge Removals runs this website and is the data controller for the personal information set out below. You will find our contact details on the contact page.
What we collect, and what for
The quote form asks for your name, telephone number, email address, the two addresses, a moving date if you have one, and anything you add in the notes. We collect it in order to answer the enquiry, arrange a survey and draw up a quotation.
Telephone or email us instead and we simply hold whatever you tell us, for the same purpose. Separately, Google Analytics gives us anonymous usage figures — pages opened, rough location, device type. It is aggregate only and does not identify anybody.
The basis we rely on
Enquiries and quotations rest on taking steps at your request before a contract exists. Once a booking is made, we rely on performing that contract. Analytics rests on our legitimate interest in seeing how the site is used, set against the fact that the figures are aggregated.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry reaches our own lead-handling system so that the right person picks it up. After that it travels only where the job requires: a storage operator if goods are held, a customs agent and carrier on a European move, our insurers if a claim is made.
Google reCAPTCHA protects the form against automated submissions, which means Google receives technical information about how you interacted with it. We sell nothing, and we pass nothing to other removals firms.
How long it stays
Enquiries that never become bookings are held while the move still looks like a realistic prospect, then deleted. Completed job records are retained for the period accounting, insurance and the law require.
What you can ask for
A copy of what we hold, a correction, a deletion, or an objection to how we are using it. Write and we will deal with it. Unhappy with how a request was handled? The Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints.
Cookies
We set no advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA set theirs, and blocking those in your browser breaks nothing here beyond the form's spam protection.

Material changes will appear on this page. The policy covers this site and the enquiries made through it.
